Frequently Asked Questions

Hopefully we've answered all of your questions here, but, if not, just get in touch!

Do you have different line-up options?

Yes, we do!

We normally perform as a four-piece band, but for smaller venues or where sound levels are an issue we can perform as a duo or trio. For bigger venues or events we can provide a five, six, seven or even an eight-piece line-up.

You are guaranteed a great time whichever line-up you book!

What if my timings change after I've booked you?

We always try our best to be flexible to help ensure your event runs as smoothly as possible. If timings change slightly in the run up to the event just let us know.

Can you provide a DJ service before, between and after your sets?

If required, we can play a selection of suitable music before/in-between our sets, and when we finish our live sets we can offer a DJ service until your venue closes, to keep the party going!  We can also connect any device of yours via BlueTooth to our PA, so you can play your own music mix to the audience when we finish our performances. There is obviously an extra charge for either of these options as it means we (and our equipment) have to be present at the venue for longer.

How much time do you need to set up?

Usually we require around an hour to set up all of our equipment and perform a sound check to make sure everything is working as expected. This is based on good, straightforward access to the performance area. We then require around 15-20 minutes to get changed and ready for the performance.

Do you need a parking space?

We have a great deal of equipment to unload from our vehicles, carry into the venue and get set up.  So yes, we need at least one parking space if we've been booked as a duo, two if we're there as a trio, and three for our 4-piece line-up. Parking spaces need to be as close to the venue entrance (or stage door, if there is one) as possible.

Can you roam around while you perform?

Yes we can! A wonderful alternative to our usual powered performances is us playing acoustic instruments with no electric amplification. With Tim on double bass, Robin and Steve on acoustic guitars and Chris on the cajon, we can really get up close and personal with an audience, without excessive volume levels.

Can I pick the songs you play from the set list?

Absolutely, though we're confident that the set lists we have evolved over years of performing will please just about everyone. We can do 60s-themed, 70s-themed or 80s themed sets too, if you'd like.
If there are numbers in our Play List you'd definitely like us to perform (and any you'd rather we didn't!) just let us know - you're in charge!

Can you learn song requests before the event?

We'd be delighted to discuss adding a few numbers of your choice, as long as we have enough time between when you book us and the date of the performance to actually learn any songs that are new to us!

Is all of the equipment (e.g. PA & lighting) included in your quote?

Yes, all we need from you is a suitable mains electricity supply and a dry, level and sheltered (from sun, wind and rain) performance area at least 4 metres by 3 metres - and ideally twice that size!

Is your equipment PAT Tested?

All of our electrical equipment is regularly PAT tested and inspected to ensure it is safe to use. We have also carried out formal Risk Assessments for every type of gig.

Do You have Public Liability Insurance?

Yes we do, we're covered for any Public Liability Incidents to the value of a million pounds.
